Imminent arrival of ‘the men’ to lay new insulation in our attic led to some frantic clearing out, and some fortuitous discoveries …
I love these cover designs and the jolly clown inside the front cover; the colours, the illustrations, the typefaces … so much to celebrate.

… and as if a compass wasn’t exciting enough … a 1960′s Ladybird book to teach me how to use it! Oh, pure delight!
… in fact, a little collection of vintage childrens’ Ladybird books, for me to peruse and ponder over at my pleasure!
And now, ‘the men’ have been, we are fully insulated against winters best (or worst) efforts, and the only task remaining is to carry all the treasure back up the ladder, and settle it back into it’s warm and snuggly nest! I will be keeping a few of these treasures to hand though … just for the joy!
